Ernesto Serna Vasol
a.k.a. CATHOLIC DEFENDER 2000
HOW RIDICULOUS THIS MAN CAN GET
According to Ernesto Serna Vasol’s new post, the
Iglesia Ni Cristo is “contradicting what the Bible says about God’s church.” He
is referring to what is written in II Corinthians 12:12. Vasol said that the
Iglesia Ni Cristo is contradicting this verse. Before we examine if this person
is telling the truth, let us first see what is written in the said verse:
II Corinthians 12:12 NIV
“The things that mark an apostle-signs, wonders and
miracles-were done among you with great perseverance.”
According to Vasol, how does the Iglesia Ni Cristo
contradicts this verse? He said, in the Iglesia Ni Cristo “no supernatural
miracles recorded since 1914.” He also metioned that many miracles happened in
the Catholic Church throughout history. Thus, for him, the Roman Catholic
Church is the true Church because “many miracles happened throughout their
history” and the Iglesia Ni Cristo is not the true Church because “no supernatural
miracles recorded since 1914.”
HOW RIDICULOUS THIS MAN CAN GET?
The Iglesia Ni Cristo is contradicting II
Corinthians 12:12 because there is “no supernatural miracles recorded in 1914”?
NOTHING IN THE SAID VERSE THAT THERE MUST BE
RECORDED SUPERNATURAL MIRACLES IN ORDER TO BE THE TRUE CHURCH. Let us again
quote the verse:
II Corinthians 12:12 NIV
“The things that mark an apostle-signs, wonders and
miracles-were done among you with great perseverance.”
Today’s English Version translated the verse as
follows:
II Corinto 12:12 TEV
“The many miracles and wonders that prove that I am an apostle
were performed among you with much patience.”
Apostle Paul s talking about himself, proving that
he is one of the true apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, “The many
miracles and wonders that prove that I am an apostle were performed among you..”
VASOL IS RIDICULOUS, RIDICULOUS INDEED
Do miracles, signs and wonders can be used as marks
of being the true Church? This is what the Lord Jesus Christ Himself said:
Matthew 7:22-23 TEV
“When the Judgment Day comes, many will say to me, 'Lord,
Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many
demons and performed many miracles!' Then I will say to them, 'I never knew
you. Get away from me, you wicked people!'”
Miracles cannot be used as mark of being a true
Church, of being those that will be saved by Christ come Judgment Day. Why? This
what Apostle Paul (the author of the verse Vasol quoted, II Cor. 12:12) said:
II Thessalonians 2:9-12 NIV
“THE COMING OF THE LAWLESS ONE WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
WORK OF SATAN DISPLAYED IN ALL KINDS OF COUNTERFEIT MIRACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS, and in every sort of evil that deceives those
who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be
saved. For this reason God SENDS THEM A
POWERFUL DELUSION SO THAT THEY WILL BELIEVE THE LIE and so that all will be condemned who have
not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
This proves that Ernesto Serna Vasol, a.k.a.
Catholic Defender 2000, is not only ridiculous, but also truly ignorant of the
teachings of the Bible.
Nice explanation Ka Pristine.. ^_^
